March 2021 Newsletter

Oceanview March 2021 Newsletter

The big news is the COVID pandemic. But the news is a little better. Vaccine distribution has accelerated and availability has broadened. There are still problems, particularly getting sufficient vaccines to remote areas and also dealing with anti-vaccine groups. But COVID or no COVID, we continue to provide you with captivating reading.

Before we get to our recent and upcoming releases, just a reminder about this past month’s releases: David Putnam, or Deputy Dave as he is affectionately known, provided us with more of Bruno Johnson’s electrifying escapades in The Ruthless, the eighth in the series. This story can make you cringe and it can make you cry as Bruno faces some of the toughest issues of his life. If you are already a Bruno fan, you will devour this, and if you are not—this is a great place to start.

Our March release is Fatal Intent by debut author Tammy Euliano. Tammy is a practicing anesthesiologist and a faculty member at a major university and still finds the energy to write fiction. And though her job is putting people to sleep, she certainly knows the importance of waking them up—and her book will keep you awake and reading well into the night. You don’t have to take my word for this. Both Kathy Reichs and Lisa Gardner agree.

March also saw the release of the paperback version of The Leonardo Gulag by Kevin Doherty. For those of us who were fortunate enough to not be raised in Russia during the Stalin era, this book will make us once again count our lucky stars. The combination of extreme brutality and beautiful art places this story at the forefront of must-reads.

Next month, we introduce new-to-Oceanview author Linda L. Richards and her book, Endings. This brings us a character who is truly unique. She enjoys a rare talent and activity that makes her the perfect person to do society a major favor. Don’t miss this one. More to come.

I think that there is something for everyone this month. So, stay safe and—KEEP ON READING.
