July 2020 Newsletter

The COVID pandemic continues with no apparent letup. Please continue to follow safe practices—masks, distancing, and common sense. Reading may be the safest thing that we can do. Our hearts go out to booksellers who are unable to open their stores and to authors whose books have fewer outlets for sales and limited library access for readers. Hopefully, curbside pickup and drop-off and mail orders can help overcome some of the issues—and, of course, digital books. Our staff continues to work from home, but our book production and distribution is on track.

Our June releases, Broken Genius by Drew Murray, and the ebook releases of Tie Die by Max Tomlinson and The Reflecting Pool by Otho Eskin, have all had very successful launches bolstered by sterling reviews, and have achieved stunning rankings and vigorous sales. Be sure to add all of these to your reading list.

In July we released The President’s Dossier by James A. Scott. This ebook release could not be more timely as we approach the November election. As you follow the activities surrounding the real election, this book will elicit some amazing parallels. Best-selling author Jon Land calls The President’s Dossier “an international thriller of the highest order with a concept that imagines tomorrow’s headlines, even as it’s ripped from today’s.”

Some additional exciting news—Lost Tomorrows by award-winning author Matt Coyle won the 2020 Shamus Award for Best PI Hardcover. Coyle can add this award from the Private Eye Writers of America to his Anthony Award and Lefty Award for Best Hardcover Novel. Matt will need another trophy case to house his collection.

Do not forget to take a look at the purchasing opportunities below and KEEP ON READING.
