February 2021 Newsletter

Oceanview February 2021 Newsletter

Hopefully, we can now put the “Trump Affair” behind us and move to overcome the COVID pandemic. With the new vaccines coming along, the future holds more promise. But these viruses are cagey and mutations will occur. So plan to continue to exercise caution and good sense with regard to masks and social distancing and . . . wash your hands!

Now let’s get to the books. Oceanview’s January release, Death of a Messenger by Robert McCaw, is off to a strong start. Reader comments and reviews have been extraordinary—who wouldn’t appreciate an intimate tour of Hawaii embedded in an edge-of-your-seat crime thriller—in the middle of winter in a pandemic!

Now, in February, we move from the beauty of Hawaii to the dark underbelly of Los Angeles with David Putnam’s The Ruthless, the eighth in the Bruno Johnson Crime Series. Bruno Johnson—ex-cop, ex-con—has deeply endeared himself to his loyal readers and The Ruthless takes us to a very dark stage in Bruno’s life. Tragedy strikes on all fronts: family, friends, and professional. All the catastrophes he’s faced pale next to the unthinkable devastation that confronts him in The Ruthless.

February also brought the release of the paperback version of Toward the Light by Bonnar Spring—the international thriller of lies and deceit—where nothing, and no one, is who or what they seem. A rollercoaster of twists and turns that will leave you breathless and anxiously awaiting her next thriller.

On top of all of that, we have some new audio releases for those who like to listen to their books—at least some of the time.

February will bring:

The Ruthless by David Putnam—narrated by Daniel F. Purcell
Blind Vigil by Matt Coyle—narrated by Keith Jedlicka
Toward the Light by Bonnar Spring—narrated by Raquel Beattie

And, a preview of our March title: Fatal Intent by Tammy Euliano. This is a medical thriller that has already had a rocket boost—Amazon named it one of their Hot New Releases! Wow! Not bad for a debut author. More on Fatal Intent later.

And finally, some really great news – I am extremely pleased to inform you that Endings by Linda L. Richards, has been given a coveted Starred Review in Publishers Weekly. Endings will be released in April 2021, so more about this book later. Congratulations, Linda!

So, we have something for everyone. We hope that you enjoy and please take a look at the additional purchasing opportunities below and . . . KEEP ON READING!
