December 2018 Newsletter

Christmas is rapidly approaching as is the new year. A great time for some introspection. So why not consider all of the wonderful books that you read in 2018. How many were from Oceanview Publishing? At least a few—I hope! So let’s make a resolution to read more books in 2019—and you might add—some from Oceanview Publishing. We are doing our best to make that easy by bringing you some fascinating new stories.

Our December releases are both doing wonderfully in the marketplace—as they should; they are outstanding reads! Wrong Light by best-selling author Matt Coyle introduces you to sexy nighttime radio host, Naomi Hendrix, and her haunting problems and The Warriors is written by well-known New York lawyer, Paul Batista, who is a frequent TV personality who provides legal comment on the ongoing trial of Mexican drug kingpin, El Chapo, that is in progress in New York.

January brings the release of The Guilt We Carry by Samuel Gailey. This is Gailey’s second novel and portrays the power of fate, the impact of a tragic accident, and the emergence from the abyss for a downtrodden woman trying to overcome her past. January will also mark the release of the paperback version of Vindication by best-selling author, H. Terrell Griffin. Griffin’s continuing character, Matt Royal—retired lawyer-turned-beach bum—reluctantly returns to the courtroom to defend his girlfriend’s aunt from a murder charge.

I am also pleased to announce some honors and notoriety for a few of our authors—Dark Rhapsody by Helaine Mario received the 2018 Best Book Award, Wrong Light by Matt Coyle was named a Best Book of 2018 by BookReporter, and Fugitive Red by Jason Starr was sighted in New York Magazine’s “Things to Do in New York” section. Congratulations to Helaine, Matt, and Jason!

Last, but certainly not least, three of our writers were honored by the Military Writers of America. Tj Turner and Tj O’Connor were awarded Gold Medals for Land of Wolves: The Return of Lincoln’s Bodyguard and The Consultant respectively and a Silver Medal was awarded to John Mangan for Into a Dark Frontier. Congratulations to both Tjs and to John.

As we end 2018, all of us at Oceanview Publishing wish you very happy holidays and a wonderful 2019! Thank you for continuing to read our Oceanview books.
