Oceanview August 2020 Newsletter

The progress in decreasing the COVID illnesses and deaths seems to be geographically highly variable. New York, which had the greatest problem, appears to be making some progress. However, the South, particularly major vacation spots like beach areas, is not doing as well—and Arizona, for whatever reason, is doing poorly, as are parts of California. What seems to be so reasonable—social distancing, masking, handwashing, avoiding large gatherings—continues to be a challenge. Isolating yourself with a good book is still a great strategy—and if you’re the only one handling the book you might even skip the sanitizer wipedown—but you didn’t hear that from me.

Our July release, The President’s Dossier by James A. Scott—in ebook format only at this time—is doing very well. It should not come as a surprise that a book about a questionable presidential election interference could not be more timely. Honest, folks, Oceanview did not do anything to add chaos to this election in order to sell more books. The hardcover version will follow in September.

In August, we will release the paperback version of Off the Grid, an epic thriller set in Hawaii by best-selling author Robert McCaw. McCaw lived in Hawaii for many years, so the authenticity is there. This is your opportunity to see the Hawaii that tourists do not. The beauty is there, but bad things happen.

Then, look out for September—a blockbuster month for Oceanview. We will release three new hardcover books: Fire and Vengeance by Robert McCaw, Tie Die by Max Tomlinson, and The President’s Dossier by James A. Scott. And four paperbacks will be released, all to be disclosed next month. As you can see, we want you to have enough to read as, hopefully, the world begins to reopen.

So, there is plenty in the mystery and thriller world for you to consider. But in the meantime, don’t forget to take a look at the special purchasing opportunities below—and—KEEP ON READING!
