May 2016 Newsletter

It is still pretty cold in some parts of the north, but the trees are looking greener and some beautiful blossoms have appeared. Spring fever is upon us. We want to stop working and just sit outside for a while. Oh well, we can dream.

Oceanview Publishing is rounding out our spring releases with DECEMBER BOYS by Joe Clifford, due in stores on June 7. Jay Porter returns after his debut in Clifford’s Anthony Award-nominated novel, LAMENTATION. Jay is still burdened with problems as he struggles in his new job as an insurance investigator. But when he stumbles upon a fraudulent prison-for-profit scheme, Jay’s world becomes very dangerous. As the Booklist review of DECEMBER BOYS states, “…(readers) are in for some fine writing, plus an interesting mix of people and a truly offbeat, if arguably rude, hero.” That’s the Joe Clifford noir coming through. You will love it.

If you have not yet read our May release, DEAL MASTER, by Adam Gittlin, get it now. Gittlin is an expert in skyscraper real estate and he has passed that expertise to his character Jonah Gray. Not just in Manhattan, but around the world, and not just selling, but buying and managing it as well. Throw in an evil character from Jonah’s past who has a nefarious global scheme involving monstrous deals and piles of cash. He needs Jonah to make it happen—and will stop at nothing to succeed. For Jonah, it could mean the loss of his reputation, his career, and more importantly, his life. I hope that you have read and enjoyed this thriller. But, if not, you know where to get it—bookstores everywhere or online.
