March 2016 Newsletter

It is March Madness at Oceanview Publishing. Everything seems to be happening at once. We are participating in reading festivals, our authors are having book launch parties, and we are steeped in good news about awards. It may not be the NCAA basketball tournament—but it’s close!

Accolades have poured in for our authors. Carter Wilson’s The Comfort of Black hit both USA Today and the Amazon Weekly bestseller lists. After the Fall by Patricia Gussin won the Florida Book Award Gold Medal for Best Popular Fiction. There are four finalists for the IndieFab Foreword Book  of the Year Awards: Chasing Justice by H. Terrell Griffin; After the Fall  by Patricia Gussin; Method 15/33 by Shannon Kirk; and The Comfort of Black by Carter Wilson. Shannon Kirk’s Method 15/33 was named a Mystery Scene Magazine Top Critics Choice, and Method 15/33 as well as The Lost Concerto by Helaine Mario were named Finalists for the Benjamin Franklin Awards. Congratulation to all of these fabulous authors. Did we win the NCAA Tournament?!!

In addition to all of that good news, Pegasus Down, our March release by Philip Donlay, is doing great. Ratings have been very high as Phil’s fan base grows. His “Donovan Nash” series continues to strongly increase readership, and with good reason. Nash is one of the most dynamic and compelling protagonists introduced to the reading public in recent years. You do not want to miss these books. Start with Pegasus Down and work your way back.

And now, as April approaches, the excitement is building toward another Matt Royal thriller from H. Terrell Griffin. April 5 is the release date for the launch of Mortal Dilemma. Matt’s very tough colleague and friend, Jock Aldrin, has lapsed into a major depression as the result of his most recent mission for the secretive government intelligence agency that employs him. And there must be a good reason for Jock’s depression since a Middle East jihadist group is out to kill him in revenge. Matt and his “friend,” Detective J. D.(Jennifer Diane) Duncan, are struggling to protect and help Jock, and stay alive themselves as other bad guys enter the scene. The Matt Royal Books are always exhilarating reads and this one certainly fits the bill. Get it as soon as it releases. Order now.

Don’t forget our new paperback books—Extraordinary Rendition and The Borzoi Killings by Paul Batista, After the Fall  by Patricia Gussin, and Lincoln’s Bodyguard by Tj Turner. These are great reads at a very attractive price.

We are ready for a rest! But more wonderful things are coming as spring approaches. So stay tuned and—keep on reading!
