December 2017 Newsletter

‘Tis the season! We at Oceanview Publishing wish all of you a very happy holiday season and a wonderful 2018. We are excited about starting the new year in our “new digs” on Main Street in Sarasota, Florida. We are only moving about five miles but we get significantly more space and a much easier commute for the staff. So everyone is happy. The actual move takes place December 23.

2017 was another fabulous and hectic year for us. Our change of distributors was not easy but now we have a much larger sales team behind us as well as the largest book distributor in the world. This should bode well for us and for our authors. And we are really enjoying the interaction with our colleagues at Ingram Publisher Services.

We are ending 2017 with a couple of really great books…

November saw the launch of Come Home by New York Times best-selling author Patricia Gussin. She’s been touring extensively throughout Florida and will hit Pennsylvania and Michigan in the new year.

December brought us Blood Truth by Anthony Award winner and Agatha and Shamus Award nominee Matt Coyle. In Coyle’s latest, Rick Cahill tries to find the truth about his father who, 27 years earlier, was kicked off the La Jolla police force and died a disgraced drunk. There are some who strongly prefer to keep the reasons secret, and will stop at nothing to achieve that. Also, Rick’s true love asks Rick to find out if her husband is cheating on her. And Rick finds that cheating could be the least of the problems.

And, award-winning author D. P. Lyle’s latest in the Jake Longly series — A-List — has hit the shelves and it’s off to a great start. For a fast-paced, slick, and funny romp through New Orleans, this is the perfect read for the holidays — and beyond!

December also saw the launch of the paperback version of Revelation by award-winning author Carter Wilson. Revelation has already won the Colorado Book Award, the International Book Award and a RONE Award. Don’t miss this white-knuckle thrill ride.

January will welcome back ultra-popular author H. Terrell Griffin with Vindication, another great Matt Royal mystery. And this one is set in The Villages, that giant retirement community in central Florida.

Well, I am going to stop now. Lots of partying to do! Happy, happy holidays to all.
