H Terrell Griffin
Award winning author H. Terrell Griffin was born in Waycross, Georgia, and as a child moved with his family to Sanford, Florida. At age 17, he enlisted in the United States Army and spent three years on active duty and three years in the Ready Reserve. Terry earned degrees in history and law from Mercer University and practiced as a board certified trial lawyer in Orlando for thirty-eight years. He is married to his college sweetheart Jean, and they have three children and two grandchildren. He has published six novels, all set in and around Longboat Key, an island off the southwest coast of Florida. In addition, he was a contributing essayist to “Thrillers: 100 Must Reads” a volume of essays by one hundred mystery and thriller authors on the one hundred best thrillers ever written. The book was recently nominated for the Mystery Writers of America Edgar Award, the most prestigious award in the mystery, suspense and thriller genres.
In addition to Fatal Decree, Griffin is author of Collateral Damage, Bitter Legacy, Wyatt’s Revenge, Blood Island, Murder Key, and Longboat Blues. Blood Island was named an award-winning finalist in the 2008 National Best Books Awards, Fiction & Literature: Mystery/Suspense category. Fatal Decree is Griffin’s seventh Matt Royal novel.
